Update to Library spaces & Conditions of Entry

To prioritise wellness within the university community,  the opening hours for Library spaces have changed.   

We’re continuing to provide accelerated online services to assist and support you, so please reach out to us via Live Chat or PeerConnect. Our friendly staff are happy to help you thrive in your studies and uni life online.     

Conditions of Entry

The Conditions of Entry for University of Sydney locations and study spaces have been updated in line with current COVID-19 Public Health Orders (PHO).

Before you visit a University site please ensure you consult the current PHO and the University of Sydney Campus Conditions of entry including mask wearing and hygiene, physical distancing, best practices and restrictions. 

*For your safety, entry to all University locations including the Library requires a 3-step process: 

  1. Complete the Conditions of entry form upon arrival
  2. Check in via the Service NSW QR code 
  3. Swipe in with your current student/staff card

If you are visiting the Library don’t forget to show the completion of the Conditions of Entry form to Security

Library Hours

Fisher and Law Libraries are open to current students and staff only, with no in-person services.

Hours: Monday – Sunday 12pm-8pm  

The following library spaces are accessible 6am – 11pm to current students and staff only. 

  • The Quarter (Postgraduate coursework students only) 
  • Camden Commons 
  • Carslaw Learning Hub 

Live Chat hours have been extended: 

Monday – Thursday 8am-10pm
Friday 8am-8pm
Saturday – Sunday 10am-2pm

SciTech Library, Susan Wakil Health Library, the Conservatorium of Music Library and other Learning Hubs will be closed to students and staff. 

External library return chutes will remain open at Fisher Library, SciTech and Health Sciences libraries.
