The Peer Learning Advisors aka PLAs are all experienced students with their fingers on the pulse of student needs in real time and are best places to represent, speak to and share space with the student body. They have been trained in being a point of referral to students, offering tips on everything from where to find the best coffee on campus, to overcoming feeling isolated to using tech to support student initiatives and goals.
Drop in for a chat with our PLAs at ThinkSpace, Bosch Commons, the Quarter, Dentistry Library, or Camden Commons.

Ever wander around the Library looking for a desk? Wander no more! We extended the trial of a desk booking system for Semester 1.
Students and staff may now book an individual desk at Fisher, Law, and SciTech libraries as well as in the Quarter . As part of an extended trial, approximately 115 desks will be bookable just like a meeting room.
From Semester 1, 2016 our new spaces will be re-named to reflect their new identities. For a summary of the changes, please see the table below.

“Commons” was chosen as it reflects what we are trying to achieve in space and service delivery. The word “commons” embodies the principle of open access which the Library strives to promote, both in terms of information and education, but also as a physical space open to all staff and students .“Commons” also reflects the peer to peer learning and support model we’re growing within these spaces, and our intention to make them places where our clients can collaborate and create their own workshops and events.
